We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Solution Architect (m/w/d) to join our Strategy Projects Tech Team at ABOUT YOU!

Our Strategy Projects Tech Team is responsible for steering our most important strategic initiatives across our full system landscape, ensuring efficient and smooth cross-system solutions to enable our commerce business in all our About You shops across different countries.

What you will do

• Design cross-system architecture solutions by understanding the responsibilities of each system in the ABOUT YOU landscape and allocating new functionalities accordingly.
• Create elegant, web-based architecture solutions using technologies like PHP, GO, AWS, Containers, Microservices, APIs, Message Queuing, and define technical requirements for development teams while maintaining the big picture.
• Support development teams in solving complex challenges by advising and considering business needs and risks.
• Assist in the implementation of solutions, monitor progress, and resolve blockers.
• Maintain architectural consistency across teams by sharing knowledge of other systems.

Who you are

Technical Skills:

• Completed studies in informatics or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT with proven solution architecture expertise.
• Extensive experience in designing complex cloud architectures, interfaces, and processes.
• Proficient in solution specification, visualization, presentation, and test planning.
• Familiar with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of data storage, processing, and management technologies for handling large data volumes.
• Ability to investigate monitoring and logging platforms like Kibana, Sentry, Datadog.
• Comfortable reviewing code in PHP, Laravel, or similar to understand business processes.

Soft Skills:

• Strong written and verbal English skills.
• Effective communication of complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Quick learner with the ability to break down complex problems.
• Enthusiasm for staying updated with emerging technologies.
• Well-organized and structured work approach.

Nice to haves:

• Experience in E-Commerce.
• Experience with high-throughput systems.
• Knowledge of PHP, Laravel, AWS, MySQL.

Additional Information

Working model: Onsite at our Hamburg headquarters on a hybrid basis: remote on Mondays and Fridays, onsite Tuesday to Thursday.
