Merchant Solutions

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that leverages the rapidly evolving technology industry to offer innovative products and solutions, including card issuing and processing on cloud infrastructure. You will work collaboratively, partnering closely with clients and business units to build and deliver strategic solutions.

Role Overview

As a Solution Architect (f/m/x), you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of engineering solutions to meet business objectives.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, document, and develop services within a cloud-based, high-availability, secure, and resilient architecture.
• Promote the adoption of modern engineering practices, design principles, and architecture patterns within the team.
• Engage with stakeholders across multiple domains and geographies to implement requirements on time.
• Collaborate with DevOps/QA on CI/CD processes to ensure quality delivery and provide Level 3 support when needed.

Your skills and experiences

• Experience in the financial industry, with strong networking skills to foster collaboration, service reuse, and knowledge sharing. Ability to communicate complex messages clearly.
• Experience with JVM stacks (Spring, Kotlin, Java), JavaScript, and real-time event systems (JMS, pub-sub), especially related to infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and data/analytics technologies.
• Proficiency in designing service-oriented architectures using API-first approaches, with strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and protocols like HTTPS, Websockets, SOAP, JSON, XML.
• Hands-on experience architecting scalable, resilient cloud solutions using Kubernetes, serverless, or re-architecting existing applications, preferably on Google Cloud Platform. Consideration of security, OAuth/OIDC, compliance, and other dimensions.
• Excellent English communication skills; German language skills are a plus.
