Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Solution Architect - AI (m/f/d) to join our team in Germany in a hybrid mode (Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Munich). You will design AI solution architectures for enterprise-scale engagements, focusing on Generative AI and agentic systems, combining delivery, advisory and pre-sales work.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead architecture reviews, implement Gen-AI patterns, ensure governance and compliance, and mentor teams.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years IT experience with at least 3+ years in solution/technical architecture
• Strong track record in designing Generative AI solutions including LLM integration and RAG patterns
• Fluent in German and English; excellent client-facing communication
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR and DORA governance frameworks; model-risk & data-handling in regulated environments

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Solution Architect - AI (m/f/d) to join our team in Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Munich, Germany, in a hybrid working mode.

In this role, you will design AI solution architectures for enterprise-scale engagements, focusing on Generative AI and agentic systems. The position combines hands-on technical delivery, advisory and pre-sales activities, using a shift-left approach to share AI knowledge and accelerate capability-building across teams. You will participate in client workshops, architecture reviews and executive discussions, gaining the experience required to progress toward senior architecture leadership roles.

Requirements

• Strong practical experience designing Generative AI solutions including LLM integration and RAG patterns
• Experience in at least one of the following: building or extending agentic platforms, delivering solutions where AI agents execute implementation with human oversight, integrating AI-for-Business capabilities into live production systems
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP and related integration patterns
• Knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks including ISO 27001, DORA and GDPR
• Strong understanding of model-risk and data-handling practices in regulated environments
• Excellent communication skills for client-facing engagements
• Fluency in German and English
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Nice to have

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
• Exposure to AI governance and model risk management practices
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
• Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) or TOGAF
• Previous experience in consulting or client-facing roles
