We are looking for an onsite Software Validation Engineer (m/f/d) for our validation team as soon as possible.GEA Refrigeration Germany GmbH is a GEA company, one of the largest system providers for the food processing industry as well as for a wide range of other industries. In addition, GEA offers sustainable solutions for demanding production processes in various end markets and provides a comprehensive service portfolio. As a leading manufacturer of components for industrial refrigeration technology, GEA develops, produces and sells compressors, units and liquid chillers at its sites in Berlin and Schkopau.

Test Design:Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, automated test sequences, and test scripts for control systems

Software Testing:Perform functional and performance testing on control system software

Collaboration:Collaborate with internal and external software engineers as well as project managers

Issue Analysis:Conduct root cause analysis of identified issues and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution

Code Review:Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective

Project Management:Take ownership of test projects, including time and cost planning

Documentation:Provide clear and concise test reports and documentation

Education:Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

Certification:Valid ISTQB Foundation Level certification as a minimum requirement

Experience:Proven track record in software testing or quality assurance, ideally with exposure to control or embedded systems

Testing Knowledge:Strong understanding of testing methodologies and processes across all phases of the software lifecycle

Industry Insight:Familiarity with refrigeration systems or the HVAC industry is considered a plus

Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication and teamwork skills

Languages:Fluent English skills (C1/C2) and solid German proficiency (B2) for effective communication
