Zusammenfassung

VisionSpace Group is seeking a Software & Operations Engineer to join a team responsible for maintaining, evolving and supporting mission-critical software applications used in satellite operations.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or related field with hands-on experience in Linux, Docker, Java and Python, plus Git/GitLab and CI/CD know-how. You will work across engineering and operations to ensure system readiness and drive automation.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with Linux system administration, preferably SLES.
• Practical experience with Docker and containerised applications.
• Good programming experience in Java and Python.
• Experience with Git and GitLab.
• Experience with software testing, including integration and regression testing.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing or software release processes is an advantage.
• Experience in satellite ground systems, mission operations or other complex operational environments is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Support the full lifecycle of software applications, from maintenance and troubleshooting to testing, deployment and operational support.
• Analyse and resolve software and system issues in collaboration with development and operations teams.
• Develop and maintain software, scripts, tools and supporting configurations.
• Execute integration, verification and acceptance activities, including formal test campaigns.
• Support software deployments and release management activities.
• Contribute to automation, process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate technical activities across multiple engineering and operational disciplines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and test artefacts.
• Support critical operational activities and ensure system readiness.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of mission-critical ground segment systems.
