We are looking for an experienced and talented Imaging Algorithms Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. This individual will work on image processing algorithms for our x-ray devices and improve our image quality.

Software Engineer for Image Algorithms (m/w/d)

Your Role:

1. Improve the x-ray image quality in dental medical devices in close collaboration with product management, production, dentists, and orthodontists.
2. Algorithm and software development (reconstruction, calibration, image filtering, artifact handling, compression) in a scrum team.
3. Follow the current state-of-the-art technology, read papers, or attend conferences.
4. Support the product owner in defining epics, writing user stories, and acceptance criteria.
5. Ensure unit and integration test coverage.
6. Analyze image quality issues in production and in the field.

Your Profile:

Education:

MS or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related engineering disciplines.

Years and Type of Experience:

1. 3+ years experience in at least one of the following areas: Imaging, Image Processing, and Computer Vision.
2. Experience in processing large amounts of data.
3. Experience in software development.
4. Experience in CI/CD, Containerization (Docker), and Cloud Computing (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
5. Experience in the field of medical imaging, particularly CT imaging, and the development of medical devices is an advantage.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

1. Ability to solve complex technical problems.
2. Good knowledge of the programming language C++ or comparable.
3. Good knowledge of Python is an advantage.
4. Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
5. Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge.
6. Technical enthusiast with a broad overview, constantly eager to engage in new technologies and challenges.
