This role focuses on developing and maintaining high-performance, event-driven distributed systems and managing the student contract lifecycle. Your tasks Building and shaping a new end-to-end service focused on student contract lifecycle management—from contract creation through lifecycle events like recognition of prior learning, leave semesters, etc., to data transfer into Workday. Developing our high-performance event-driven distributed system using microservices and microfrontends. Collaborating with fellow engineers, product managers, UX, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders. Monitoring and troubleshooting the system, utilizing various tools and metrics to ensure high availability and performance. Developing and maintaining up-to-date documentation, best practices, and standards. Your Profile Solid experience in PHP development. First experience with event-driven architecture and ideally some exposure to event streaming platforms like Kafka or message brokers like RabbitMQ. Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and experience with container technologies such as Docker. Good understanding of web technologies and familiarity with topics like website performance, accessibility, semantics, and code quality. Experience in component development using modern web frameworks such as Vue, Svelte, SolidJS, or React. Enthusiasm for technical concepts and software architecture. Team player with good communication skills. Independent, goal-oriented, and structured way of working. Ownership of tasks and eagerness to grow and contribute to the bigger picture.
