Your mission
As a Software Engineer for the Employee Platform (m/f/d), reporting to the Head of Workplace IT, your goal is to empower 1KOMMA5° employees by delivering custom code, workflows, and tools that enhance collaboration, boost productivity, and strengthen our company's foundation for competitive advantage and long-term success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Solution Development: Create, implement, evaluate, deploy, sustain, and enhance third-party solutions using code to solve business problems. Develop bespoke workflows for employee self-service.
- Support & Training: Educate and train Tech support staff to resolve issues and troubleshoot code problems.
- Process Optimization: Drive automation to improve employee onboarding and offboarding experiences, utilizing tooling knowledge and creating user management solutions via SCIM and APIs.
- Technical Alignment & Benchmarking: Collaborate with the Workplace IT team to align goals, benchmark capabilities, and lead times.
- Customer Collaboration: Work directly with employees to develop and implement third-party solutions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with stakeholders across Tech, including security engineers, to identify overlaps and opportunities.
- Scalability & Adaptability: Facilitate changes as 1KOMMA5° grows and evolves.
- Problem Solving: Engage in creative problem-solving and process questioning.
- Hands-on Implementation: Be involved in configuring and implementing tooling solutions.

Your profile
- 6+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering or related fields.
- Proven track record with cloud IT systems.
- Expertise in programming and scripting, especially Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and REST APIs.
- Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, using tools like Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including CloudRun and CloudSQL.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace automation via Admin SDK and Apps Script.
- Experience with Employee Lifecycle Management and automation is a plus.
- Design thinking methodology experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a security focus.
- Relevant IT degree; certifications related to MTD, MAM are a plus.
- Comfort with remote work; willingness to travel to Hamburg, Berlin, Munich.
- English (C1), German (B2) is a plus!
