Your mission

As a Software Engineer for the Employee Platform (m/f/d), reporting to the Head of Workplace IT, your goal is to empower 1KOMMA5° employees by delivering custom code, workflows, and tools that enhance collaboration, boost productivity, and strengthen our company's foundation for competitive advantage and long-term success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Solution Development: Create, implement, evaluate, deploy, sustain, and enhance third-party solutions using code to solve business problems. Develop bespoke workflows for employee self-service.
  • Support & Training: Educate and train Tech support staff to resolve issues and troubleshoot code problems.
  • Process Optimization: Drive automation to improve employee onboarding and offboarding experiences, utilizing tooling knowledge and creating user management solutions via SCIM and APIs.
  • Technical Alignment & Benchmarking: Collaborate with the Workplace IT team to align goals, benchmark capabilities, and lead times.
  • Customer Collaboration: Work directly with employees to develop and implement third-party solutions.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with stakeholders across Tech, including security engineers, to identify overlaps and opportunities.
  • Scalability & Adaptability: Facilitate changes as 1KOMMA5° grows and evolves.
  • Problem Solving: Engage in creative problem-solving and process questioning.
  • Hands-on Implementation: Be involved in configuring and implementing tooling solutions.

Your profile
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering or related fields.
  • Proven track record with cloud IT systems.
  • Expertise in programming and scripting, especially Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and REST APIs.
  • Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, using tools like Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including CloudRun and CloudSQL.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace automation via Admin SDK and Apps Script.
  • Experience with Employee Lifecycle Management and automation is a plus.
  • Design thinking methodology experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a security focus.
  • Relevant IT degree; certifications related to MTD, MAM are a plus.
  • Comfort with remote work; willingness to travel to Hamburg, Berlin, Munich.
  • English (C1), German (B2) is a plus!
