Summary

We are looking for a "Software Engineer in Image Processing (f/m/d)" for the "Data Analysis & Fusion" department at our locations in Aalen and Oberkochen as soon as possible.

The "Data Analysis & Fusion" department develops algorithms to analyze sensor data for comprehensive situation awareness, reducing operator workload and enhancing safety. Your role involves developing and refining image evaluation algorithms to improve user overview and security.

Your Tasks

1. Deployment, testing, and further development of modules for image enhancement and analysis in real time
2. Software development on Linux systems in C / C++ and strategic implementation decisions
3. Implementation of operational requirements, considering dependencies and system integration
4. Testing the created algorithms
5. Collaborating on the expansion of live video processing and analytics software systems
6. Optimizing processes for performance and efficiency
7. Integrating image processing modules into systems and applications
8. Participating in project planning within SCRUM frameworks
9. Creating necessary documentation

Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is required.

Your Profile

1. Degree in computer science or a similar field with a focus on software engineering
2. Extensive experience with embedded devices for optimized image processing (e.g., Nvidia Jetson) and deep learning development
3. Proficiency in C / C++ and GPGPU programming with CUDA
4. Strong handling of Linux, OpenCV, Docker, GStreamer, and modern software technologies (git, Atlassian tools, Qt/QML, CMake, C++17, catch2, buildroot, CUDA)
5. Experience with agile development methods
6. Independent, entrepreneurial, quality- and solution-oriented working style
7. Strong social skills and enthusiasm
8. Analytical thinking and personal responsibility
9. Fluent in German and English
