What We Are Looking For - Nature of Role

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer In Test to join our team. This individual will independently deliver small to moderate projects with guidance, improving software quality. The role encompasses ownership of feature stories and drives their implementation through effective task breakdown.

This is a hybrid position which requires working in the office at least one day per week.

What Will You Do - Responsibilities for Employment

1. Assist the PO in analyzing and translating orthodontic software requirements into design specifications.
2. Lead the definition of supporting test scenarios and test cases. Update and extend the test strategy when needed.
3. Extend and update the medical device product documentation to ensure full test coverage and traceability.
4. Perform integration, functional, system and regression testing.
5. Structure, design and perform automated tests with different frameworks (Java/Selenium and Postman API).
6. Provide analysis and assist with troubleshooting of operational issues and/or (inhouse) customer needs.
7. Identify defects, create, track bugs and test defect fixes.
8. Collaborate closely with the Development, Training, Customer Care and Regulatory teams.
9. Communicate solutions and fixes to other departments/customers.
10. Perform monitoring and reporting of the software (splunk, datadog, AWS_Cloudwatch).

Who You Are - Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Years and Type of Experience:

• 3-5 years SW quality assurance/testing experience.
• Proven orthodontic domain knowledge.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485:2016, MDSAP, 21 CFR 820 and MDR.
• Experience with test management tools and processes (e.g. Matrix Req. X-Rays).
• Experience with bug/issues tracking tools (e.g. Jira).
• Experience in Test Automation (Java, Python).
• Experience in SQL/database and scripting.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

• Great attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Good written and spoken English and German skills.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
• Intermediate programming skills with focus on maintainable code.
• Knowledge of modern development architectures is advantageous.
• Understanding of software design patterns is a plus.
