The Viator Experiences Engineering team, distributed across Europe, is responsible for viator.com, mobile apps, and supporting infrastructure. We run systems that help operators grow their businesses and enable third parties to utilize our inventory. We also provide tools for our customer service team to deliver world-class service globally.

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our fast-growing team. This role is open to candidates based within a 2–3 hour commute of Lisbon, Saldanha. We embrace flexible work arrangements, including remote work with periodic in-person gatherings at our office for team connection and collaboration.

Our engineers work on diverse technical challenges, primarily focusing on front-end development with some backend projects. While expertise in backend is not required initially, eagerness to learn is essential. Our full-stack web stack includes Java, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL, NoSQL, and AWS. Experience with all is not necessary; a willingness to learn is key.

This role involves working closely with product managers and designers, participating in all phases from design to deployment, with releases every few days in a daily cycle. We foster a fun, friendly environment focused on productivity and continuous delivery.
