Your Role

You will be part of the imaging team, working on high-end electron beam systems for microscopy and photomask repair. As a firmware expert, you will ensure that the embedded software in our electron microscopes meets high standards for electron beam control.

  • Develop, modify, and test hardware-near software for modules of our low-energy raster electron microscopes
  • Program microcontrollers and FPGAs
  • Develop and specify communication concepts for complex systems
  • Be responsible for firmware modules and their integration into the overall system
  • Ensure compliance with design standards and documentation
  • Collaborate closely within an interdisciplinary product team
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completed university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field (PhD is a plus)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in developing hardware-near software (firmware) in an industrial environment
  • Experience in programming microcontrollers (e.g., C/C++), FPGAs, and defining application design rules for subsystems
  • Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), test automation, and integration testing
  • Strong communication skills and sense of responsibility
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent German and English language skills, spoken and written
