Tanso is seeking a Software Engineer (f/m/x) to own end-to-end features within one of our platform modules and work closely with product, design, and customer success. You’ll take real ownership of problems, shape solutions, and ship software that creates tangible value for customers.

We expect 2+ years of professional software engineering in Typescript, strong full-stack thinking, and clear English communication. German is a plus.

• First backend experience, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure.

Your role

To take real ownership of what you build and take own end-to-end feature responsibility, we are looking for a Software Engineer (f/m/x).

As a Software Engineer (m/f/x) you will work on meaningful customer-facing problems within one of our platform modules and collaborate closely with product, design, customer success, and other engineers.

At Tanso, engineers are responsible understanding the problem, challenging assumptions, shaping the solution, making technical trade-offs, shipping to production, and iterating based on what we learn. We care less about following a predefined playbook and more about making good decisions, moving with purpose, and building software that creates tangible value for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own customer-facing features from problem definition through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
• Turn ambiguous requirements and user needs into pragmatic, maintainable solutions. Challenge assumptions and help decide what is worth building
• Collaborate closely with product designers and customer success to understand user needs and shape effective solutions.
• Contribute to the quality of our codebase, engineering practices, and developer experience.

Your profile

• You have 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software in Typescript.
• Strong full-stack and product thinking, understanding systems end-to-end.
• First experience with backend development, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure.
• Clear, precise communicator in English.
• Self-driven problem solver with strong ownership and execution mindset.

• German language skills.
