Qualifikationen

About the job
You will develop application level software controlling our BERT (bit error rate tester) and AWG (arbitrary waveform generator) instruments. These instruments are widely used in research and development and enable the next generations of communication technologies.

About the team
You will be part of a diverse team of hardware developers, FPGA designers, firmware and software engineers in order to create a full solution for our customers.

Responsibilities
You will develop software and applications to control our BERT and AWG instruments and visualize measurement results. You will design and implement features and functionality according to development plans. You will collaborate with your colleagues from various disciplines to define interfaces, discuss requirements, verify the functionality and ensure good software quality.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  1. BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering (or applicable engineering degree / experience)
  2. Experience working in an interdisciplinary team
  3. Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C#, C++)
  4. Demonstrated software development experience through entire project lifecycle
  5. Experience completing integrated hardware & software systems
  6. Experience in debugging hardware / software systems using an IDE like Visual Studio
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  8. Good English language skills (min. B2 CEFR)
  9. Good German language skills (min. B2 CEFR)

Desired Qualifications

  1. A minimum of 4 years relevant job experience or education beyond a bachelor’s degree
  2. Experience with XML files e.g. as configuration inputs for code generators
  3. Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment and software
  4. Experience with a version control system, preferably Git
  5. Experience with unit tests and integration tests to ensure reliability and quality
  6. Digital signal processing (DSP) knowledge
  7. Analog, RF and / or microwave background
