Fujitsu München is seeking software developers to contribute to BS2000 mainframe OS components. You will work across the full software lifecycle, from specification and implementation to testing, maintenance and service support.

You will design IT architectures, collaborate with international partners, and assist in documentation and customer-facing support. German and English skills are required, with flexible, hybrid work options in Germany.

Your Responsibilities

• As part of our software development team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of key operating system components for the BS2000 mainframe operating system and support the entire software lifecycle, from specification and implementation to testing, maintenance, and service support.
• Contribute to the design of innovative and complex IT architectures based on customer requirements.
• Work within large development teams and collaborate closely with our international strategic partners.
• Support the creation of technical documentation and develop content for user manuals.
• Provide technical support to our service and sales colleagues, including back-level maintenance support and troubleshooting for your own modules as well as third‑party components.

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree (for example in Computer Science) or a comparable vocational qualification in an IT-related field.
• Initial professional experience in software development, including programming languages (preferably Assembler, C/C++, and scripting languages) and system debugging.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle, including source code management and continuous integration.
• Strong analytical skills, flexibility, creativity, and a customer- and service-oriented mindset.
• Very good German and good English language skills.
