About your workplace

As the Business Unit "Smart Home," we are the first point of contact for digital products, data, and innovation across all business areas. We are partners in shaping the future of Miele, delivering valuable solutions, insights, and perspectives.

In this position, you will work on a continuously growing backend system that is central to numerous digital innovations. In coordination with our Product Owner and architects, you will develop new features, such as error diagnostics for call centers and customers, actively shaping Miele's future.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the backend system based on communicated requirements, standards, and guidelines.
  • Implement RESTful APIs for new digital services and products.
  • Work with databases, ideally including graph databases (RDF).
  • Bring expertise in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure), containerization (e.g., Docker), continuous integration, and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Analyze existing systems and processes, proposing improvements to increase efficiency and prevent errors.
Qualifications
  • Completed (Master's) degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, experience with Spring Boot, and developing/documenting RESTful APIs.
  • Enjoys analytical thinking and finding simple solutions to complex issues.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, initiative, and enthusiasm for innovative digital solutions, with a desire to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers.
  • Open to new technologies and methods, continuously developing skills to create innovative solutions with the team.
