Job summary

meteocontrol is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain device communication for the bluelog Neo and blue'Log X-Series. You will contribute to continuous architecture improvements and test code against simulators, remote access, or real hardware.

Join a dedicated team and review requests for feasibility while collaborating with other departments, manufacturers, and customers. English fluency is required for effective communication within a global team.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for Linux, TypeScript, Node.js and Rust.
• Hands-on experience with OO programming and unit/integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with version management (Git, GitLab).
• Knowledge about PV devices, energy storage devices and communication protocols (TCP/UDP, Modbus).
• Serial communication experience (RS485/422).
• Very good knowledge of English.

Job description

Your profile:

• Enthusiasm for our tech stack (Linux, TypeScript, Node.js, Rust)
• Hands on experience with Object-oriented programming and unit/integration testing
• Hands on experience with version management (Git, GitLab)
• Ideally knowledge about:
  • PV devices (inverters, meters, sensors etc.)
  • Bonus:Knowledge about energy storage devices (batteries, battery inverters, hybrid inverters etc.)
  • Communication protocols, especially TCP/UDP and Modbus
  • Serial communication (RS485/422)
• Very good knowledge of English
