analytics solutions for our customers. We strive to help industrial companies improve

their maintenance and performance decision-making in a data-driven world. We

have built RAILOX, the AXO Predictive Maintenance System for rail switches. At

AXO, we are passionate about driving innovation in the fields of IoT and AI, and we

are looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.

Aufgaben

• Further development and customization of our IoT cloud platform based on ThingsBoard


• Backend development (e.g. Rule Engine extensions, APIs, integrations)


• Contribute to frontend development (Angular/React), e.g. dashboards, device configuration views


• Implement new lifecycle and user management features for devices


• Optimize data processing and real-time communication (e.g. MQTT, WebSockets)


• Collaborate closely with our UI/UX designer and DevOps team


• Write documentation, perform testing, and participate in design and code reviews


• You will design and develop innovative AI projects up to implementation in existing business processes.


• You will be responsible for analysing the technical requirements in close cooperation with our application managers and the specialist department.


• You will review the architectures for their applicability in the company and design decision templates for the further development of our processes to support and automate them through AI.


• You work in small SCRUM teams with a lot of creative freedom

Qualifikation

• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin (Spring Boot is a plus)


• Experience with ThingsBoard or similar IoT platforms (e.g. Kaa, Azure IoT, etc.)


• Knowledge of databases: PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or TimescaleDB


• Experience with MQTT, HTTP REST APIs, and WebSocket communication


• Solid understanding of IoT-related concepts, such as device provisioning, telemetry, and state modeling


• Frontend development experience (e.g. Angular, React, TypeScript)


• Good knowledge or initial experience in the AI environment in backend development


• You are passionate about new technologies and IT approaches such as AI to integrate and automate existing business processes.


• You are confident in using Python, Django and Docker


• You preferably have 2-5 years of professional experience in the backend


• You have an independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working


• Fluent in English

Nice to have

• Experience with ThingsBoard Rule Engine (custom nodes)


• Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes


• Familiarity with authentication standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)


• Experience handling large datasets (e.g. sensor data streams)


• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles in technical applications


• You are confident in using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)


• Good German language skills
