Qualifikationen

Modern, networked, tradition-conscious: Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) is the largest university in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. It can look back on a history of over 500 years and today has around 20,000 students. MLU's research focuses on material and life sciences, enlightenment, social and cultural research. In addition, the university houses a large number of small subjects under its roof, some of which are unique.

MLU has excellent national and international networks and cooperates with numerous non-university research institutions, over 250 universities and industry.

At the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, IT Service Center, a permanent position is available from the earliest possible date.

A software administrator/developer (m-w-d) with a focus on learning management systems to be filled full-time.

Depending on the tasks assigned and fulfillment of the personal requirements, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 13 TV-L.

Work Tasks
  • Independent administration, customization and development of applications in the field of e-learning with a focus on learning management systems using DevOps technologies,
  • Operation of learning management systems for Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg,
  • Design, development and adaptation of interfaces and integration of the learning management systems into the existing infrastructure (configuration management, campus management, IDM),
  • Consulting, training and support for users and
  • Communication with internal and external partners.
Requirements
  • Completed university degree or university of applied sciences degree in computer science or another natural science subject or comparable professional experience,
  • Experience in the development and support of application systems, ideally in the field of e-learning,
  • Experience in dealing with operating systems based on Linux and sound knowledge of programming and programming languages or scripting languages (e.g. PHP, Python, ...),
  • Experience with agile methods and with the operation of large and complex IT systems with a focus on learning management systems,
  • Analytical, structured, solution- and service-oriented way of working,
  • Team and communication skills, good self-organization and
  • German language skills at C2 level.
