Social Media Specialist - EMEA

About Breville
Over the past 90+ years Breville has grown to become an iconic global brand, delivering kitchen products to over 70 countries around the globe. Breville enhances people's lives through the delivery of brilliant innovation and thoughtful design based on deep consumer insights, empowering people to do things more impressively or easily than they'd thought possible in their own home and ultimately allowing them to "Master Every Moment".

A career at Breville is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. It's more than working for a global leader; it's an opportunity to be a part of something that impacts people all over the world.

This is a unique opportunity to help build a local presence from the ground up, crafting our voice in the German market and setting the tone for how our brand shows socially up in key markets. You'll be our go-to expert on the ground, working closely with our global social team (based in Sydney HQ) and our regional teams in Düsseldorf and London.

As a brand grounded in coffee, we're looking for someone who brings genuine curiosity (and ideally a bit of personal obsession) for the world we work in. Whether it's knowing the difference between a flat white and a cortado, or spotting the next big TikTok coffee creator, we want someone who gets the space we play in.

You'll be the curator of our European social media channels, responsible for crafting clever, engaging copy to managing a schedule that resonates, and getting hands-on in the creative execution. We want to see your fresh ideas and innovation to help elevate our storytelling online. You'll also play a pivotal role in coordinating our influencer collaborations into our social media strategy, working closely with our PR Manager in Germany. Whether its wrangling Influencer approvals, shooting Employee Generated Content or bringing our events to life on social, you'll be the steady hand keeping things on-brand and on-time.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and publish content across Sage Europe social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the brand's voice, while leveraging local and cultural social trends to captivate and engage audiences and grow the brand's followership.
  • Launch and localise Sage's social media presence in Germany, shaping tone, voice, and community from the ground up.
  • Operate in a matrixed structure, with a dotted line connection to the EMEA PR & Partnerships Manager to execute influencer outcomes, as well as support the amplification of PR initiatives like events and brand partnerships on social.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Creative and Content Specialist to help execute creative ideas, including supporting content creation and asset production as needed.
  • Curate our social media platforms, ensuring content aligns with the brand's identity, resonates with audiences, and maintains a cohesive and inspiring aesthetic.
  • Manage day-to-day community interactions, responding to comments and messages fostering engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Proactively identify and champion new social media features, trends and creative opportunities to keep our brand ahead of the curve.
  • Reporting to the Global Social Media Manager, contribute insights to support the development and refinement of social media strategies, as well as the rollout of new digital initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Global Social Media Manager to monitor and analyse performance metrics, providing actionable insights and suggesting platform-specific improvements.
  • Develop and maintain systems to manage a high volume of content, including project timelines and asset organisation.
  • Build strong relationships with EMEA teams to coordinate and organise regional priorities, as well as be flexible and available for occasional after-hours meetings to accommodate different time zones for our Sydney, Australia HQ.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of social media marketing and/or content creation experience.
  • Native-level German and fluent in English. French language skills are not required, but desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing branded social media accounts.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and proven ability to craft engaging, clever and refined copy for brands.
  • A solid foundation in social media best practices, branding and marketing principles, and a deep understanding of current social media trends, platform features, and emerging formats.
  • Is a cultural-tastemaker who has their finger on the pulse of the latest food trends, design trends, and emerging influencers.
  • A passion for food and coffee is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing a high volume of content, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Comfortable working remotely, with teams across time zones.
  • Experience in social media management software.
  • Skills in content editing tools like Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar software is highly desirable.
What we offer you
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • Competitive compensation package
  • A fun and rewarding team environment
  • Opportunity to work for an Australian Stock Exchange listed company
  • Employee assistance program
  • Paid parental leave policy
  • Employee discounts of up to 50% on all our electrical products
  • Corporate health and wellness benefits
