ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a creative, chronically online Social Media Manager who understands internet culture, science communication, and the Web3 ecosystem. This person will work directly with Communications Lead to grow PsyDAO’s online presence across Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, and emerging platforms. This role includes content creation, scheduling, community engagement, analytics, and collaborating on larger marketing campaigns (events, merch drops, activations, podcasts, collabs, etc.).

This is a good fit for someone who loves turning complex topics (psychedelics, biotech, DeSci, IP, DAO governance) into clear, fun, and digestible content– someone who understands how to build momentum in a niche but passionate community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CONTENT & STRATEGY

• Develop monthly and weekly content calendars across X, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord
• Create, curate, and repurpose content: educational video clips, Twitter screenshots, memes, blog/article images, merch promotional content, event announcements & partner campaigns
• Work with the Communications Lead to maintain brand voice: informed, clever, innovative, minimal but exciting

COMMUNITY & GROWTH

• Engage regularly with our DeSci, Web3, biotech, and psychedelic research communities
• Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in an aligned, non-cringe brand tone
• Identify trending conversations and insert PsyDAO into the discourse
• Help grow our following across all channels, focusing on quality engagement

ANALYTICS & REPORTING

• Track performance metrics: reach, engagement, follower growth, conversions and provide bi-weekly reports with insights and recommendations
• Test formats, timing, and content variations to optimize performance

CAMPAIGN SUPPORT

• Support launch campaigns (twitter spaces, events, URL/IRL workshops, merch sales, research announcements, podcast appearances)
• Manage asset organization and posting schedules
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, and internal working groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Haves

• Strong knowledge of psychedelic news & art, web3, DeSci & blockchain culture
• Strong experience running social media for a brand, project, or creator across multiple channels
• Excellent understanding of Twitter/X, Tiktok, Instagram culture and internet trends
• Ability to write quickly and clearly in a smart, contemporary tone
• Comfort with science/tech content OR strong ability to self-educate
• Ability to create simple, brand-aligned assets
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented
