DESCRIPTION

The EU AMXL 3PL Procurement Team is growing, and we are hiring a Procurement Specialist with a European-wide scope to join the team in Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities

1. Define and implement sourcing initiatives and contracts to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
2. Manage existing contracts
3. Own savings projects and deliver value to the business
4. Identify alternate suppliers and/or materials/processes
5. Drive effective delivery of the EU AMXL 3PL procurement metrics by leading/supporting projects and initiatives, identifying root causes of issues, and implementing corrective actions
6. Utilize multiple databases and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting, and analytics to measure team performance

A day in the life

As a Sourcing Specialist, you support the EU AMXL 3PL Procurement and business teams by delivering operational purchasing tasks, specific project assignments, and engaging in process improvements within the team's scope. This includes sourcing projects, identifying savings opportunities, leading/supporting projects and initiatives, creating documents and training, identifying root causes of issues, implementing corrective actions, and other activities aimed at optimizing sourcing operations.

About the team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) handles heavy items like furniture and large appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns. We provide extra customer care by unpacking, assembling, installing large items, and removing old items when needed. We focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, transforming how customers buy and receive large goods.

We plan to expand our specialized fulfillment, sorting, reverse logistics, and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. Most team members work during the day, with some night shifts in delivery stations. Our team includes operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and program management professionals, all vital to growing this business area.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous experience in 3PL Operations or Procurement
• Background in contract management
• Fluency in English and at least one European language
• Proficiency in analyzing data and preparing management reviews

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strategic Procurement experience
• Experience in Heavy Bulky business
• Background in defining, developing, and implementing procurement initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership and mitigate supply risks
• Experience in spend assessment, market analysis, understanding trends, and forecasting
