Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Architect to join our client team in the Data Platform Solutions division which is responsible for implementing complex data and analytics projects.

As a "Snowflake Data Architect" (f/m/d), you are part of an innovative and ever-growing team and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Snowflake data warehouses and data pipelines. This role requires an individual with strong technical skills who is also capable of working closely with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. You design modern Snowflake data platform architectures - from initial discussions over functional definitions up to technological implementation at Snowflake.

2. You identify their data use cases and choose suitable technologies for optimal implementation.

3. You plan migration projects from on-premises landscapes into the Snowflake data platform and actively accompany these as a data architect.

4. Active internal laboratory projects, active design of the data & analytics portfolio, and support during pre-sales activities.

5. Mentor and lead motivated colleagues.

6. Introduce your know-how to further develop the advisory portfolio at conferences or certifications, you gain new input and test it together with the team in pioneering customer projects in practice.

Required Skills:

1. With a lot of enthusiasm, you will be happy to acquire new knowledge about applications, technologies, and tools in the context of data & analytics.

2. You have completed an education degree in computer science or comparable training and ideally practical experience in consulting or software engineering.

3. Your deep understanding of the current data & analytics landscape allows you to select the ideal technology for your use case and can justify this with soundness, convincingly, and understandably for the customer whether it is sensor or master data, gigabytes or petabytes.

4. Through your experience and personality, you enjoy coordinating complex situations and represent the topic of snowflake data platforms with enthusiasm.

5. Thanks to your many years of experience, you can count on a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of Data Platform Solutions, especially with Snowflake (and dbt, Fivetran, etc.) and/or Cloud Analytics Services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

6. Your cloud software engineering expertise enables you to provision cloud landscapes efficiently and automatically and develop Use Cases using PaaS components.

7. In several Data & Analytics projects, you have learned different architectures and modeling approaches.

8. Furthermore, you communicate happily and target-orientated with the various stakeholders involved in the project and employees working within the project team.

9. A high level of results and client , fluent German and English skills as well as a willingness to travel across Germany round off your profile.

Minimum requirements for candidates:

1. Fluent in German.

2. 6+ years experience in the field of data platforms and cloud, ideally consulting? In particular in the following areas:

- design and implementation of cloud data platforms including Data management via ETL/ELT

- migration from OnPrem/Cloud to Cloud

- test concepts

- CI/CD for data platform
