Position Title: Small Farms Outreach and Communications Assistant, Salem

Location: Salem, Germany (Remote with some local events)

Job Type: Part-time, maximum 19 hours/week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional, creative student to assist the Small Farms Coordinator with outreach and engagement duties. The role involves managing social media, regional online newsletter, email lists, and supporting programming and event planning. The position offers flexibility with some training and events in Salem.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in high school, community college, or university with a relevant course of study
• Meet academic standing requirements; students on suspension are ineligible
• Minimum enrollment standards:
  • High School student: enrolled in high school or homeschooling
  • Undergraduate/post-baccalaureate: 6 credit hours per term
  • International students: 12 credit hours per term
  • Graduate students: 5 credit hours per term
  • International graduate students: 9 credit hours per term
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience with social media and graphic design
• Ability to collaborate and work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with agriculture is a plus but not required

Additional Details:

• International students may carry fewer hours if approved by USCIS
• During interviews, candidates will be asked to provide a graphic design sample
