As an Observability SRE, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our large Elasticsearch clusters and the full Elastic toolchain, including Logstash and Kibana. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability and performance of our services. You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of our observability and monitoring systems, providing critical insights for continuous improvement.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Manage and optimize large Elasticsearch clusters and the full Elastic toolchain (Logstash, Kibana, ILM etc..).
• Implement and maintain observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Istio, and Thanos.
• Develop and support software solutions to enhance observability and monitoring capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to drive system improvements.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in observability and monitoring.

What you’ll need to thrive:

• Proven experience in managing large Elasticsearch clusters.
• Strong background in software development, preferably with experience in languages like Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience with the Elastic toolchain (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Experience with clickhouse or other columnar databases such as Google BigQuery
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Istio, and Thanos.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
