Role – Site Manager (Freelance)

Location – North & South Germany

Mint Selection are partnering with a leading renewable energy developer who are seeking x2 Freelance Site Managers to join them on 6-month renewable contracts starting immediately.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with a strong background in renewable energy construction, site coordination, and health & safety compliance. You will serve as the primary point of contact on-site, ensuring that works progress on schedule, within scope, and according to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Scope of work:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including civil, electrical, and mechanical works

• Manage subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines

• Monitor daily progress and maintain accurate site records and reports

• Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards in line with local regulations and company policies

• Facilitate site meetings and act as the liaison between project stakeholders (e.g., project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers)

• Conduct site inspections and quality checks during installation, commissioning, and handover phases

• Oversee material deliveries and inventory control

• Support project planning and scheduling efforts with the head office and engineering teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing utility-scale or commercial solar PV and/or battery storage projects

• Strong understanding of construction processes, technical documentation, and German building/site regulations

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)

• Valid EU driver’s license and willingness to travel/stay near project sites as needed

• Freelance/contractor status with appropriate insurance and right to work in Germany
