Job summary

OPmobility SE in Regensburg is seeking a seasoned Finance Controller to partner with the Plant Manager and leadership team, guiding budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis. You will drive reporting, variances, and continuous improvement within a global mobility group.

Lead the finance team, optimize systems, and ensure compliance with internal controls. Fluent German and English, SAP FI/CO expertise, and a strong manufacturing background are required to excel in this role.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in Controlling, Finance, or Business Analysis, preferably within the automotive industry or a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience partnering with operational management teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a proactive and pragmatic approach.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Closely partner with the Plant Manager and Leadership Team to support the overall management, performance, and profitability of the site.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor, analyze, and challenge financial performance against budget and forecast targets, and drive appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results, forecasts, risks and opportunities, as well as capital expenditure performance to the Business Unit.
  • Analyze variances and identify root causes of financial and operational performance deviations.
  • Drive productivity improvement initiatives and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of associated action plans.
  • Lead the continuous enhancement and optimization of the plant’s financial and information systems to support operational excellence.
  • Manage, develop, and coach the Finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement; implement and optimize organizational structures within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, internal control requirements, and reporting standards.
