At Quantum Systems, we are redefining the boundaries of autonomous drone technology by leveraging advanced simulations for development, testing, and training purposes. We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Software Engineer to develop realistic, visually compelling simulation environments for simulation-in-the-loop testing and operator training for next-generation drone systems.

As a Simulation Software Engineer, you will play a key role within our Simulation Team. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing solutions that tightly integrate simulation environments with real products and end users. What is your Day-to-Day Mission:

• Design and develop simulator software and simulation environments for drone operations and mission scenarios
• Focus on visual representation, ensuring accuracy and realism in dynamic 3D environments
• Implement and maintain simulation frameworks supporting simulator control and SITL testing
• Integrate geospatial visualization tools (e.g., Cesium) in 3D engines (e.g., Unreal) for operational and environmental accuracy
• Collaborate with control systems, AI, embedded, and navigation teams to support HITL and SITL environments
• Optimize performance for real-time rendering and scalability
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing simulation pipelines to meet evolving project needs

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience in simulation or game development and visualization for vehicles, robotics, or drones
• Proven experience creating visually compelling environments for simulation applications
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ for high-performance simulation development
• Experience with CMake, Google Test, and Google Mock frameworks for build and test automation
• Knowledge of SITL and HITL environments
• Familiarity with geospatial visualization and data integration tools (Cesium, Unreal, Unity)
