Overview

The SharePoint Developer provides highly technical and administrative support for the GCMC SharePoint infrastructure, including design, development, architecture, availability, performance, monitoring, and security.

This is a US Local National position in Germany. As such, the employee will be subject to paying German taxes and will be part of the German workforce with all the benefits of HN employment and social systems.

Responsibilities

1. You provide highly technical and administrative support for the GCMC SharePoint infrastructure, including design, architecture, performance, security, and day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting.
2. You run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing applications to correct errors, identify areas for improvement, and debug issues.
3. You develop new software programs and applications, and are responsible for configuring and maintaining document libraries, lists, site collections, and all required software updates for supporting systems (IIS, SQL).
4. You code, compile, and test software applications according to specifications and business requirements, and assist in conceptualization and development of new software programs in coordination with the Customer and Development Operations Lead.
5. You perform system administration tasks and user training, provide daily project support for the Intranet and internal applications, and Tier 2 support related to SharePoint tasks.
6. You manage and document requirements for current and new applications, evaluate solutions, estimate time and costs, and participate in development, implementation, and testing phases, including migration plans for existing web applications to SharePoint.
7. You assist in researching, preparing, and documenting program and application requirements and specifications.
8. You develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines for all software developed.

Qualifications

• Experience with SharePoint Online and On-Premise, JavaScript, CSS.
• 5+ years of experience in web development.
• Proficiency in English (writing and speaking).
• Ability to work within Germany (if not a US citizen, must have lived in Germany for a year).
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Proficient in managing and maintaining a mid-sized SharePoint infrastructure, supporting Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online.
• Experience with Drupal 9, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure is a plus.
• Experience with IDEs, code management systems, GIT.
