Job summary

Vestas in Verden (Aller) invites applications for a Service Technician (m/f/d) to service wind turbines on-site in Germany. You will join a team, carry out maintenance, diagnose faults and perform modifications to improve performance while documenting work digitally.

The role requires a vocational qualification in electrical/electronics/mechatronics, willingness to travel within Germany, and proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office and iOS apps. A Class B license is requested.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in electrical/electronics/mechatronics/energy and building tech.
• Willingness to travel within Germany during the week and back home on weekends.
• Familiar with MS Office, SAP and iOS apps; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site servicing and maintenance of wind turbines to ensure reliable operation.
• Repair turbines and resolve faults as part of a team (min. 2 people).
• Analyse electronic and mechanical error messages and identify causes.
• Carry out modification measures to enhance turbine performance.
• Document work digitally in a simple and efficient way.

Your responsibilities – here's where you can get involved!

• You ensure our wind turbines operate reliably by carrying out on-site servicing and maintenance
• Working as part of a team (at least two people), you repair turbines and resolve faults
• You analyse electronic and mechanical error messages and accurately identify the cause
• You carry out modification measures to enhance turbine performance
• You document your work digitally in a simple and efficient way

Your profile – what makes you a great fit!

• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, industrial mechatronics or energy and building technology
• You are willing to travel within Germany during the week; you will be back home at the weekend
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, and ideally have experience with SAP
• You are comfortable working at heights and can operate safely above ground level
• You have a valid Class B driver’s licence (financial support for Class BE may be available)
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile
