Position: Offshore Troubleshooter

Start: As soon as possible, full-time, permanent

We are facing the challenges of managing an offshore wind farm on the high seas. As an offshore troubleshooter, you will work with a dedicated team to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our Siemens Gamesa SWT 3.6 offshore wind turbines at the Amrumbank West wind farm, located 35 km off the coast of Heligoland.

About the role

• Carry out maintenance work on wind turbines (WTGs) to maximize availability.
• Perform independent fault analysis and rectification of electrical and mechanical faults on Siemens SWT-3.6 & SWT-4.0 offshore wind turbines.
• Supervise and coordinate external companies, focusing on work content, quality, and occupational safety.
• Document all work using electronic reporting systems (e.g., SAP & Fluix).
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations during maintenance, repair, and inspection work.
• Promote team spirit and collegial cooperation as an integral part of your work.

Job requirements and experience

• Successfully completed training in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting Siemens SWT-3.6 and SWT-4.0 offshore wind turbines.
• Strong team spirit, proactivity, accuracy, and a structured work approach.
• Willingness to work on a SOV or on the island of Heligoland.
• Knowledge of wind turbine systems, control systems, and switching authorization in the 33kV/66kV range is advantageous.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work offshore on a 14-day rotation basis.
• Suitability for offshore work and a head for heights.
