Position Summary : As a Security Installation / Service Technician , you will be key in delivering top-tier service to our valued customers by responding to service calls, supporting Customer Support Programs, and executing small-scale projects. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) :

  • Install, program, test, repair, and service various systems , including security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation equipment, with guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with customers and colleagues to provide expert technical support and training , escalating complex challenges to experienced team members when necessary.
  • Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment using your knowledge of electronics, standard test instruments, and hand tools.
  • Support project leads by providing critical installation assistance and suggesting improvements to enhance quality and profitability.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Experience) :

  • Basic construction knowledge and the ability to interpret system plans.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and design drawings, including wiring, labelling, and installation methods (e.g., J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
  • Practical mechanical and electrical skills, with experience using drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers, hacksaws, and crimpers.
  • Strong foundational math skills and the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • High-energy, results-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
  • Solid knowledge of electronic security systems and engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with Convergint’s product offerings.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering , with hands-on experience in enterprise electronic security systems.
  • A proven history of managing projects that hit every mark—scope, schedule, and budget.
  • A solid grasp of physical security solutions (think CCTV, door access, fire prevention) and how they come together in the real world.
  • Experience in your assigned project territories—your domain to conquer.

Requirements (Education & Certifications) :

  • Relevant industry-specific or IT certifications are required. Product-specific certifications are advantageous or a plus.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English (for internal collaboration).
  • Travelling to client sites requires a valid German driver’s license with a clean record.

Work Environment : This hybrid role is primarily based in Munich, with regular travel to client sites throughout Germany required. The role may require you to sit, stand, walk, and use your hands for detailed work, as well as occasionally climb or bend in high or confined spaces. You may occasionally need to lift or move up to 25 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance). You will need to adapt to outdoor conditions and construction environments. Depending on site requirements, the role may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, hard hats, ear protection, or safety boots.
