Do you have experience with technical service in the maritime industry? Are you flexible and eager to travel across the globe? On behalf of Loewe Marine, MARPRO is looking for a Service Engineer who will join the team of 10 colleagues with varying responsibilities. The company’s headquarters are located in Bremen, Germany. You will report to the Head of the Service team of the company.

Main Responsibilities

1. Conducting installation and service of steering gears and rudder systems onboard the vessels of Loewe Marine clients,
2. Providing remote technical support whenever required,
3. Issuing technical reports about work executed, and
4. Communicating with the customers onsite and otherwise on the work which has to be executed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Degree as marine engineer, naval architect, shipbuilder, mechanical engineer, or training in related areas,
2. At least 5 years of technical maritime experience,
3. Service engineer experience especially with maneuvering systems is a plus,
4. Electrical / hydraulic competencies is a plus,
5. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, incl. Excel, and
6. Solid command of English (oral and written skills).

1. You are service-minded, have good interpersonal skills and can understand and offer what the customer expects and needs,
2. You have solid organizational skills and work in a structured and efficient way,
3. You are willing to travel up to 180 days a year, and
4. You are good at finding your way across the globe, understanding how to work in different cultures.
