Responsibilities

• Evaluation of engineering services/specifications and quotations in accordance with current standards and regulations
• Providing technical support/clarification to internal and external stakeholders throughout all project phases
• Coordinating and managing external service providers as well as cross-functional collaboration and coordination with other technical departments and other stakeholders
• Reviewing layouts/drawings and providing relevant comments
• Reviewing reports, schedules and cost estimates and providing relevant comments
• Regular supplier visits with status meetings, technical audits and construction site discussions
• Coordination of interfaces with regard to equipment and process technology/coordination and consultation at the relevant interfaces
• Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and technical specifications

Required Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, preferably shipbuilding, mechanical engineering or civil engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Several years of experience in maritime technology
• Knowledge of common design and calculation methods
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Strong social and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in demanding environments
• Very good written and spoken German and English
