Overview
Service Advisor | $40k to $60k — 8am to 5pm, Mon. to Fri. Location: Brunswick, OH. First Shift – typical hours aligned with service department operations. Competitive pay based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct lot inspections at the start of the day
- Welcome customers upon arrival and manage their service needs
- Communicate equipment status updates via phone or email
- Schedule and manage service appointments efficiently
- Document vehicle issues clearly on repair request forms
- Collect vehicle information, billing details, and payment methods
- Use tablets to capture before-and-after photos of serviced vehicles
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor and parts
- Order parts and coordinate timely invoicing
- Track repair progress with technicians and foremen
- Review completed repair orders to ensure all tasks are finished
- Explain completed work and charges to customers clearly and professionally
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
- Manage incoming telephone inquiries regarding appointments and repairs
- Keep the service office clean and organized
- Support accounts payable/receivable and payroll as assigned
- Report directly to the Shop Foreman
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum six months of customer service experience, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment service
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and math skills
- Professional demeanor with excellent reading and computer literacy, including data entry
- Familiarity with Karmak systems is not required
- Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periods
