Overview

Senior Windchill System Administrator – Remote (Germany-based) | 12-Month Contract | English Only

About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Windchill System Administrator to join our team on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of PTC Windchill systems. You’ll play a key role in supporting enterprise-wide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives, ensuring system stability, performance, and integration across engineering and manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Do

• Configure, support, and administer PTC Windchill systems.
• Perform system upgrades, updates, and rehost / cloning activities.
• Develop and maintain workflows, lifecycles, and vaulting replica configurations.
• Administer Windchill cluster environments and ensure performance optimization.
• Manage CAD, BOM, Change Management, and integrations with ERP, CRM, MES.
• Support Windchill ProjectLink, PartsLink, Quality & Risk Management modules.
• Collaborate in a DevOps culture with CI / CD pipelines and automation.
• Work with Windchill APIs, Oracle / MS SQL databases, and CAD integrations (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
• 7–10 years of experience in Windchill administration (5+ in senior / lead roles)
• Strong understanding of PLM concepts and PTC Windchill architecture
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, JavaScript) and database management (Oracle, SQL)
• Familiarity with Windows / Linux server environments
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Windchill 12.x
• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI / CD pipelines
• Experience with PTC Creo and other CAD tools
