As Senior Vice President - Defense, you will take on a central role in the new CSO organization. You will not only be responsible for managing and leading a sales team, but also for strategic business development in the Defense division. This includes identifying new customers and determining suitable service offerings.

Your Tasks:

  • You identify defense customers and potential markets to be developed as part of the strategy and bring them to C-level for prioritization.
  • You are responsible for incoming orders and manage the strategic business development of the defined customer group in the defense sector. You act as a central point of contact for the C-level.
  • You continuously prioritize new and existing business opportunities worldwide in order to achieve the sales and return targets in the defense sector.
  • You develop and delegate development and acquisition strategies for business development and business model development in the area of defense services and products.
  • You build up a growing, resilient customer network in the defense sector and conduct independent negotiations.
  • You take part in C-level committees, ensure their preparation and are responsible for implementing the defined measures.
  • You will conduct market analyses and competitive intelligence to identify trends and innovation opportunities and develop technical expertise on military technologies.
  • You will prepare proposals and conduct contract negotiations, present IAV's technical capabilities and work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Necessary Skills:

  • Successfully completed studies and at least 10 years of experience in relevant areas of responsibility (with defense focus)
  • Existing, resilient network in the defense sector
  • Negotiation and collaboration skills
  • Business management knowledge and experience in portfolio management
  • Decision-making and implementation skills as well as a results-oriented approach
  • Very good knowledge of German (at least C1 level) and good knowledge of English (at least B2 level)
