Your Responsibilities:

  • Leadership role in the anesthesia department and supervision of all anesthesiological procedures

  • Planning and performing anesthesia for surgical and diagnostic procedures on small animals

  • Training, instructing, and supervising assistant physicians and nursing staff in the field of anesthesia and intensive care medicine.

  • Participation in the development and implementation of new treatment standards and protocols

  • Collaborating closely with other departments to ensure optimal patient care

  • Participating in on-call and emergency duty (one weekend per month)

  • Care of intensive care inpatients

What We Are Looking For:

  • A degree in veterinary medicine and recognition as a Diplomate ACVAA/ECVAA, Diplomate ACVECC/ECVECC, specialist veterinarian (FTA) for anesthesiology, intensive care medicine, and pain therapy, or fully completed residency at one of the above-mentioned colleges

  • In-depth knowledge of modern intensive care and anesthesiology procedures and technologies

  • A team-oriented, communicative, and responsible approach to work

  • High motivation for continuous professional development and the advancement of the department

  • Good command of German and/or willingness to learn the language quickly
