We are the fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platform in Europe with the mission to enrich life through listening. We are now looking for an exceptional Senior UX Researcher to join our incredible product team.

This is the role

Does researching how users interact with audio & video content, listening habits, and subscription products sound exciting to you? Are you eager to be the voice of our listeners and content creators and help shape our product and business strategy?

Your primary job will be to gain an exceptional understanding of our users (including future ones!), the different market segments, and the external factors—such as industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging consumer behaviors—to shape overall product direction and guide strategic investments.

You will be responsible for defining, leading, analyzing, and presenting research studies that generate insights to empower product and business decisions across the company. You’ll work in cross-functional squads who are passionate about delivering the most engaging and innovative content experiences across the main pillars of our product: user growth, activation and listening.

Furthermore, you will work with other product managers, engineering managers, researchers and data scientists to uncover strategic and foundational research areas.

Your main responsibilities in this role:
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead research projects (generative and evaluative) that generate insights to inform product and commercial strategies
  • Present research projects to stakeholders and ensure that knowledge is stored in an accessible and organized way.
  • Explore and identify new strategic opportunities to grow user engagement and growth
  • You will be high-touch and hands-on with all aspects of the research process

This is you

First and foremost, you deeply understand user-centered research methodologiesto inform product direction, along with experience analyzing market insights, consumer behavior, competitor landscapes, and trends to uncover untapped strategic growth opportunities.

You operate with an ownership mindset, starting your processes from first principles and clearly identifying the most important questions to focus on. With your professional experience, you collaborate with PMs and other senior stakeholders, understand metrics and business needs, and transfer these into concrete research plans that will bring timely and impactful insights and recommendations. You are independent, a self starter, and thrive in environments which reward tangible results and metrics impact.

Podimo is live across 7 markets: this requires consideration for when global user experiences are sufficient, as well as a nuanced cultural understanding for when hyper-local experiences are needed.

Experience we’re looking for:
  • 7+ years of qualitative and quantitative research experience supportingproduct development, such as UX research, consumer insights, or design research,product strategist or market research
  • Experience conducting strategic research, analyzing market segments, competitive landscapes, trends and consumer insights to inform business investments.
  • Astrong professional toolbox within UX research/design.
  • You are familiar with general quantitative research methods, comfortable with metrics and A/B tests, and are able to synthesize and connect quantitative data with qualitative data.
  • A clear, demonstrable record of applying various research methods to solve complex business problems and deliver business impact
  • Track record of collaborating with diverse teams toward a common goal
  • Effective verbal and written communication style distilling multi-method research reports into understandable, compelling, actionable insights and recommendations
  • Hands-on international research experience
  • Professional working proficiency in German, Dutch, Danish or Spanish

Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
