We are looking for a Senior Underwriter Property SME (w/m/d) to join our team in Frankfurt, Munich, or Heilbronn, starting as soon as possible.

What you can expect:

• Leading the professional management of commercial property insurance business in Germany (Underwriting and Operations SME Property)
• Assessing commercial risks up to €50 million, developing tailored coverage concepts for SME segment, focusing on participations and leadership business
• Reviewing policy wordings and calculations, negotiating with brokers and pools/alliances to establish framework agreements
• Monitoring existing portfolio in collaboration with analysts and actuaries, and implementing necessary measures
• Active market engagement and identifying new business opportunities across segments within Profit Center Package
• Developing and implementing innovative coverage and process concepts to differentiate us from competitors
• Creating technical product specifications for IT, supporting implementation and testing
• Coordinating with the claims department/loss control
• Supporting sales with technical expertise and preparing/training sales teams

What you bring:

• Completed training as an insurance clerk with further qualification as an insurance specialist or business graduate
• Several years of underwriting experience in commercial property insurance
• Experience in team leadership is advantageous
• Experience in developing conditions, concepts, and wordings
• Negotiation skills with brokers and intermediaries
• Excellent communication skills, clear and precise expression
• Decisiveness, hands-on mentality, quick comprehension, and good self-organization
• Strong understanding of processes across distribution channels and insurers
• Willingness to support sales and travel nationwide
• Good English skills are beneficial
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
