Qualifikationen

Jobbeschreibung

This role as Financial Lines Senior Underwriter (f / m / x) offers a unique opportunity to drive growth across several Eastern European countries and build our Financial Lines portfolio. We seek a talented individual with extensive experience in Financial Lines underwriting. The position requires the ability to build relationships across a large region, handle multiple submissions from different countries, and develop a portfolio from the ground up. The successful candidate will design strategies, establish processes, and underwrite risks to expand Financial Lines in Eastern Europe.

The position is based in Germany and reports to the Practice Leader of Financial Lines Central and Eastern Europe. The goal is to manage and develop a portfolio and lead the organization toward becoming a leading insurer in Europe with a focus on profitable growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Grow the Financial Lines portfolio of risks in Eastern Europe.
  2. Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Serve as the main Financial Lines contact for Eastern European brokers.
  4. Collaborate with the actuarial team to ensure the portfolio's long-term sustainability.
  5. Work closely with European underwriting managers and the Head of FL Europe to set long-term strategies.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Financial Lines underwriting, preferably across multiple products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in negotiating and risk analysis.
  • Positive, determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
  • Flexibility, ambition, and independence.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English; knowledge of Eastern European languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and build strong relationships internally and externally.
