Job Description:
Your mission
  • Develop and tune flight control algorithms (rate control, attitude, position, velocity loops)
  • Work directly with PX4, ArduPilot, or custom control stacks
  • Design and validate failsafe systems, recovery strategies, and redundancy mechanisms
  • Integrate and configure MAVLink, telemetry, and ground control communication layers
  • Apply MPC, PID control, and system theory to real-world UAVs
  • Optimize for real-world stability in wind, under load, and during aggressive maneuvers
  • Participate in flight testing, system bring-up, tuning, and debugging
  • Collaborate with autonomy, perception, and hardware teams for full-stack integration
Your profile
  • Deep knowledge of flight control systems and flight dynamics (fixed-wing and/or multirotor)
  • Hands-on experience with PX4 or ArduPilot (configuring, customizing, debugging)
  • Strong understanding of control theory – PID, LQR, MPC, state-space methods
  • Familiarity with MAVLink, GCS tools (QGC, Mission Planner), and telemetry systems
  • Practical experience flying, tuning, and testing real UAVs
  • Solid background in system architecture for autonomous or semi-autonomous UAVs
  • Proficient in C/C++ for embedded or flight control development
Nice to have:
  • FPV pilot or UAV hobbyist with deep hands-on experience
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulation
  • Background in fault-tolerant or safety-critical control systems
  • Knowledge of ESC/motor tuning, airframe dynamics, or mechanical integration
  • Familiarity with thrust modeling, parameter estimation, or adaptive control
