Senior Technical Program Manager, EC2 Accelerated Nitro

Redefine the future of Cloud Computing as a Senior Technical Program Manager in EC2 Accelerated Nitro! Are you a seasoned Technical Program Manager ready to drive innovations in cloud computing? EC2 Accelerated Nitro is seeking a Senior TPM to lead complex, high-impact programs that push the boundaries of what is possible with EC2.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the launch of new EC2 instance platforms and drive continuous improvements to their stability, performance, and customer experience. Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams, you will turn ambitious visions into reality through meticulous planning, stakeholder management, and flawless execution.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical depth, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills. You should thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, quickly diving deep to understand complex issues, then distilling them into clear, compelling narratives for leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborating closely with teams across hardware, software, network engineering, product management, operations, and more.
• Partner with service owners to understand product roadmaps and drive new product introduction schedules.
• Define deliverables, roadmaps, and documentation for ad-hoc projects and programs, anticipating bottlenecks and balancing business needs with technical constraints.
• Communicate technical details clearly to product managers and senior leadership, earning trust and influencing teams without burning bridges.
• Drive process and tooling improvements to increase visibility, throughput, and output quality across the organization.

Basic qualifications include:

• Experience in technical product or program management
• Experience in software development
• Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
• Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
