We are looking for a dedicated Navigation Expert with a strong focus on software architecture and development for our team, which builds the next generation of Porsche's in-vehicle infotainment system from the ground up, providing our customers an elevated driver experience.

You will be part of a cross-functional product team based in Ludwigsburg. Your role will contribute to the product's success by developing state-of-the-art Android-based automotive products. You will be involved in all aspects of the product development process for new Porsche infotainment services and driving experiences, including initiating new product ideas, creating and evaluating concepts, building technical proof of concepts, and delivering products to our customers.

The Navigation-Product Team is part of our Portfolio Vehicle. Within this portfolio, we work in cross-functional teams across the globe to develop premium, customized Porsche services seamlessly integrated into our customers' digital lives. WHAT YOUR TASKS ARE

As an Infotainment Software Engineer, you'll be a vital part of our agile team shaping the future of Porsche's luxury infotainment experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing software architectures for modern navigation solutions within our infotainment systems, adhering to standards and norms.
• Ensuring consistency, performance, and reuse across E/E architectures and markets.
• Aligning architecture and implementation with development teams, tech partners, SDK providers, and vehicle integration.
• Providing a seamless navigation experience across displays, operating systems (Android Automotive and RTOS), and customer touchpoints like companion apps.
• Championing and guiding advanced topics such as 3D rendering, driver assistance, and integration of location-based services.
• Analyzing user requirements and technical specifications to ensure a user-friendly, luxury navigation experience.
• Conducting code reviews, testing, and validation of navigation software.
• Supporting the integration of navigation solutions into vehicle architecture.
• Defining technical strategies, including architectural decisions, testing approaches, and tooling.
• Coaching and mentoring fellow developers to foster a collaborative environment.
• Collaborating closely with product owners, designers, architects, and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

• Extensive experience in software development for infotainment and navigation systems.
• Proven guidance experience, including stakeholder and partner management.
• Deep knowledge of automotive software standards and norms.
• Practical experience with automotive navigation systems.
• Proficiency in Kotlin with hands-on coding skills.
• Familiarity with unit, integration, and UI testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Android, Linux, and QNX operating systems, as well as vehicle architectures.
• Experience with build pipelines, CI/CD, and software lifecycle management.
• Commitment to clean code and sound architecture principles.
• Knowledge of C development is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Comfort working in Scrum and agile environments.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and reflective.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Fluent in German and English.
