Shape the digital future of ZEISS in the Global Algorithms & Software Semiconductor Mask Solutions team! Your sophisticated algorithms evaluate enormous amounts of image data efficiently, enabling the performance of our complex photomask systems—key to defect-free microchip manufacturing.

Your Role

Our high-tech measurement systems for semiconductor lithography require extreme performance and automated image evaluation. Processing large data sets with machine learning presents challenges and high value for our customers. Your role is to develop solutions integrated into our products.

You will create highly accurate image processing algorithms and machine learning solutions within an interdisciplinary team. Tasks include conceptual design, analysis, implementation, performance evaluation, and final product deployment. As part of an agile team, you will turn ideas and data into digital products.

As a senior, you will facilitate knowledge exchange, steer complex development projects, and influence our technological strategies. You will stay updated with the latest developments and expand your professional network within the company and research partners, fostering excellence.

Your Profile

• Excellent knowledge of machine learning, classical image processing, and physical/methodological knowledge of geometric and physical optics.
• Extensive programming experience with Python, Matlab, and possibly C++, including parallel computing (CUDA, Cloud systems).
• Degree in physics, computer science, engineering, or applied mathematics (PhD preferred).
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a system developer and project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and teamwork.
• Proficiency in German and English, with excellent communication skills.
