We are seeking a Senior System Operations & System Administrator for a remote role with our client. Join us to create cutting-edge solutions that drive significant business impact.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain hosting infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of web services.
• Optimize configurations for stability, speed, and manageability.
• Automate manual tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Enhance security measures and implement best practices.
• Research, design, and develop new approaches to improve infrastructure.
• Document research findings and share knowledge across teams.
• Contribute to building new hosting infrastructure for upcoming products.
• Engage in process improvements to enhance team efficiency.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Senior System Administrator.
• Experience in a web/cloud hosting company is essential.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management Tools (preferably Puppet, Ansible, or Chef), Virtualization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like Nagios, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including server/application security, firewalls, intrusion detection, and security audits.
• Experience with cPanel and Plesk Shared Hosting administration.
• Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, FTP, and network security.
• Database management experience, preferably with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL); familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Scripting and automation skills in Bash and Python.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions.
• Proficiency in English for technical reading and team communication.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently from home with a proactive attitude.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CloudLinux OS (LVE, CageFS, PHP Selector).
• Proficiency with Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Additional language skills.
