Your Role & Mission - We're looking for an experienced professional ready for their next career challenge! Join our dynamic Supplier Engagement Team at carbmee and help build a scalable supplier engagement and data management program focused on Scope 3 emissions, CO₂ reduction, and value creation.
In this role, you’ll work with leading enterprise customers and support the growth of a category-defining carbon management SaaS company.
You’ll use your supply chain expertise and passion for climate action and ESG to manage supplier programs and lead compliance initiatives—delivering measurable value for both our customers and their complex supply chains.
Your tasks
Supplier Engagement - Develop and implement engagement strategies to build and maintain a positive collaboration with our customer’s suppliers and partners all around the world
Project management - Lead multiple supplier engagement projects. Drive projects forward from setting goals to achieving data collection and reporting. Manage multiple stakeholders and key deliverables.
Supplier Relationship Management - Directly engage with suppliers and independently manage supplier relationships from the onboarding stage until the data integration (collection of primary data) phase is completed
Scope 3 management and CO2 reduction - Develop Scope 3 targets and reduction pathways for our customers and suppliers. Stay informed and knowledgeable in the evolving field and support various industries in their supplier decarbonisation journey.
Continuous Improvement - Bring your experience to improve the scalability and automation of our supplier engagement programme.
Compliance and Expertise - Keep yourself up to date and stay informed about industry trends, compliance policies and regulatory changes affecting suppliers
Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams and support our Climate Experts and Solution Engineers with data mapping and integration
Commitment - Join the Carbmee team in Munich and get the unique opportunity to work with the biggest organizations in the world to help them reduce carbon emissions. You’ll work together with experienced colleagues from companies such as SAP, Celonis, IBM, Bain and Company.
Your profile
University degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
Proven experience of managing complex interdisciplinary projects within the procurement space
Experience in supplier relationship management, supplier engagement, procurement, supply chain process management or a similar role
Preferred : deep understanding of supply chain processes and supplier relationship dynamics between suppliers and big corporate companies
Preferred : experience on sustainability projects, such as experience in performing LCA calculations, ESG reporting, carbon reduction mapping
Previous experience working in a start-up or a scale up environment highly desirable
Fluent English skills are required, German language knowledge is a strong plus! Any additional language knowledge is a great advantage
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and gain actionable insights over supplier performance data and metrics
A supportive team player, with a self-driven work attitude, capable of working in the rapidly changing start-up environment
