Zusammenfassung

Xtended Engineering GmbH in Munich seeks a senior engineer with expertise in stress, fatigue and damage tolerance for metal and composite aerospace structures. You will lead certification activities and complex analyses across development lifecycles.

You will define specifications, conduct FEM analyses, guide a technical team, and contribute to CS25 certification while benefiting from internal training programs and clear leadership paths.

Qualifikationen

• Expertise in stress, fatigue and damage tolerance for metal and composite components.
• Engineering degree in aeronautics/aviation or mechanical engineering.
• 10 years in structural analysis across aircraft development lifecycles.
• Knowledge of airframe certification requirements and CS25.
• Strong leadership and presentation skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead complex tasks internally and externally related to airframe analysis.
• Provide wide knowledge of means and methods for airframe development and certification.
• Define specifications and structure analysis methods; produce Means of Compliance documents.
• Propose and implement program code routines for analysis processes (FEM post/process).
• Plan activities per defined deliverables and ensure timely progress.
• Improve and adapt stress and fatigue methods for metallic/composite structures.
• Lead compilation of CS25 certification documentation.
• Assess production non-conformities and support repair/fatigue analyses.
• Establish check procedures and progress monitoring aligned with program processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct complex tasks internally and externally.
• Wide knowledge of means and methods specific to the development of airframe methods thru certification.
• Definition of specifications and structure analysis Means of Compliance.
• Definition and proposal of program code routines for analysis processes, methods & tools (e.g. FEM pre- & postprocesses, automatic calculation, digital data process).
• Planning of activities according to defined deliverables.
• Improving, defining and adapting Stress and FDT methods, assumptions, data and procedures for metallic and composite structures (hand calculations as well as FEM methods).
• Lead the compilation of certification level documents in accordance to CS25 regulations.
• Assess and proof of production non-conformities (concessions).
• Support stress and fatigue analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures.
• Establish the required check procedures and progress monitoring aligned with the program process to ensure deliverables at time and quality.

Requirements

• Recognized expertise in field of stress, fatigue & damage tolerance for metal and composite components.
• Educated Engineering degree (MA Eng/Sc, Dr./PhD.) in aeronautics / aviation or mechanical engineering.
• 10 years professional expertise in structural analysis activities throughout the development phases and lifecycle of several aircraft
• Wide proficiency of airframe certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods and tools.
• New aircraft development experience (CS25).
• Lead and instruct complex tasks internal/external
• Very good presenting, communication and leadership skills
