Qualifikationen

• Universitätsabschluss in Ingenieurwesen, Luft- und Raumfahrt oder vergleichbar.
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in der Luftfahrttechnik.
• Umfangreiche Erfahrung in Entwicklung und F&DT-Analysen von Flugzeugstrukturen (metallisch, idealerweise auch Verbundwerkstoffe).
• Idealerweise Delegierung der technischen Zulassung gemäß Airbus M1020 (statisch/ Ermüdung) oder schnelle Erreichung dieser Delegierung.
• Sicherer Umgang mit analytischen Berechnungsmethoden (ISAMI, HSB, Niu, Bruhn) und FEM-Kenntnisse (HyperWorks/Nastran).
• Fundierte Programmierkenntnisse (Python) und Datenanalyse zur Prozessautomatisierung.
• Teamfähigkeit, eigenständige Führung eines kleinen Ingenieur-Teams, Lernbereitschaft.
• Verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

Aufgaben

• Erstellung und technische Freigabe von Analysemodellen, F&DT-Berechnungen, Berichten und Studien.
• Prüfung und Freigabe von Analyse-Daten sowie technischer Zeichnungsdokumentation.
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Luftfahrtnormen, Designprinzipien und Herstellungsleitlinien.
• Technische Betreuung von Unterauftragnehmern, die Strukturanalysen durchführen.
• Validierung von Konstruktionsdaten für Fertigungszeichnungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Design, Projekt- und Produktionsteams.
• Definition, Interpretation und Validierung von Strukturprüfungen für die Flugzeugzertifizierung.
• Erstellung, Überwachung und Berichterstattung von Projektplänen und Leistungskennzahlen.
• Unterstützung der digitalen Transformation in der Abteilung Strukturanalyse durch Automatisierung und Prozessoptimierung.

Job description

In order to support our engineering activities, Airbus Aerostructures is looking for a F&DT Stress Engineer for Fuselage (d/f/m).

In this role, you will contribute to the structural integrity and safety of Airbus aircraft. As a key member of our Structural Analysis Community, you will handle calculations, technical approvals, and support our digital transformation initiatives, collaborating closely with design, production and subcontracting partners.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Create and technically approve analysis models, F&DT calculations, reports, and studies for aircraft structures across multiple programs (A350XWB and A320 Family).
• Check and approve internally and externally created analysis data and documentation, and provide stress approval of drawing sets and technical documentations.
• Ensure strict adherence to airworthiness regulations, design principles, processes, methods, and manufacturing guidelines to guarantee structural integrity and safe operations.
• Technically monitor, guide, and support subcontracting firms providing structural analysis work.
• Validate relevant design inputs for manufacturing drawings, and collaborate closely with design, project, and manufacturing teams, as well as production and customer support.
• Define, interpret, and validate structural tests required for aircraft certification.
• Create, monitor, and report on project plans and performance metrics.
• Support the digital transformation within the structural analysis department by implementing automation, simplifying tools, and redesigning processes.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field (or equivalent qualification).
• Several years of professional experience in aviation engineering.
• Extensive experience in the development and F&DT analysis of aircraft structures (metallic and ideally also composite).
• Ideally technical approval delegation according to Airbus M1020 (for static and/or fatigue) or sufficient experience to obtain this delegation quickly.
• Proficiency in analytical calculation methods (e.g. ISAMI, HSB, Niu, Bruhn) and deep knowledge of numerical calculations (Finite Element Modelling using Altair Hyperworks and Nastran, or similar).
• Solid knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python) and data analytics to support process automation.
• Strong collaboration skills, ability to manage a small team of engineers autonomously, coupled with a growth mindset, curiosity, and adaptability to new ways of working.
• Negotiation-level fluency in English (written and spoken).
