Position Overview

Tencent Cloud is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Strategic Sales Manager who would be based in London / Frankfurt / Paris / Munich. The chosen candidate will be tasked with creating and handling Tencent Cloud's most significant and strategic digital native accounts in Europe, especially in Gaming. Through a strategic approach, this individual will establish sales priorities and action plans, deliver / surpass cloud sales goals, and cultivate valuable relationships with key stakeholders of target studios or publishers in Europe. This individual will play a crucial role in driving Cloud revenue growth in the digital native industry in Europe, attracting new large strategic accounts (gaming studios, iGaming companies, digital media companies, social media / e-Commerce companies), and negotiating and managing large contracts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize networking and prospecting skills to generate leads and identify strategic solution-based sales opportunities
  2. Develop and manage high-value relationships with key stakeholders
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to other team members on large digital native accounts and participate in providing input on sales and marketing collateral
  4. Partner with the Legal / FIN / Tax teams on contract negotiations
  5. Achieve / exceed sales goals, sustain revenue growth and provide recommendations to enhance account growth and revenue potential
  6. Preparation and execution of strategic account plans, status reports, sales and revenue forecasting and quota attainment
  7. Be an expert on Tencent’s cloud's digital native offerings, working to understand customers' needs and providing service solutions
  8. Develop strategic plans based on industry trending and customer analysis
  9. Accountable and instrumental in increasing high-profile cloud platform contracts
  10. Work closely with the Solutions Engineer team in delivering and ensuring customers are gaining high value from their investments
  11. Manage sales life-cycle for all accounts

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years B2B sales experience in the technology / Internet / digital sector
  2. Experience selling at C-level
  3. Exhibits a “hunter” mentality and possesses an outstanding ability to close sales
  4. Proven record and strong capability to generate leads, pursue opportunities and sell
  5. Outstanding presentation and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with customer and staff at all levels
  6. Ability to solve customer-related problems in a positive manner
  7. Strong in consultative and insight-based selling
  8. Experience articulating complex solutions to decision-makers and executives
  9. Proven ability to grow revenue and manage accounts
  10. Experience analyzing data, trends and the market to develop key selling points
  11. Experience with gaming back-end technology is a plus
  12. Experience with media & entertainment technology (streaming, real-time communication, CPaaS) is a plus
